Christian singer Amy Grant fell off and suffered injuries whiles bicycling close to a golf course on Wednesday, July 27.
After the incident, first responders took Amy Grant to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she could receive treatment for cuts and abrasions.
According to a spokesperson for Amy Grant, Grant is in stable condition and as a precaution, she spent the night at the hospital. She is staying overnight on Thursday, July 28 as well for observation and care.
The accident comes two years after Grant spent time in the hospital to have open-heart surgery to correct a rare congenital condition: PAPVR (partial anomalous pulmonary venous return).
Grant was chosen as one of the five recipients of the 2022 Kennedy Center Honors earlier this month. On December 4, she will receive recognition on the Kennedy Center Opera House stage in Washington, D.C.
Amy Grant has been performing for more than 40 years. Her total career album sales have surpassed 30 million and she has received over 1 billion global streams thanks to her three multi-platinum albums, six platinum albums, and four gold albums.
She also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Music City Walk of Fame, and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
