Hunter Moore is a convicted felon from Sacramento, California. He was dubbed “the most hated man on the Internet” by Rolling Stone.

He founded the revenge porn website Is Anyone Up? in 2010, allowing users to post sexual and explicit photos of people online without their consent, often accompanied by personal information such as their names and addresses.

Hunter Moore was arrested by the FBI in 2014, four years after the website went live, on charges of conspiracy, unauthorised access to a protected computer, and aggravated identity theft.

Moore pleaded guilty to felony charges of aggravated identity theft and aiding and abetting unauthorised computer access in February 2015.

Moore was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, a $2,000 fine, and $145.70 in restitution in November 2015. In May 2017, he was released from prison.

He published his memoir, Is Anyone Up?, A Story Of Revenge Porn, the year after his release which provided personal insight into Moore’s life and the creation and effects of the website on his life, catapulting him to fame and notoriety.
