Olivia Wilde, born Olivia Jane Cockburn, is an American actress and filmmaker who is best known to have played Remy “Thirteen” Hadley on the medical drama television series House (2007–2012). Olivia was born on March 10, 1984, in New York City, U.S. to Andrew Cockburn (father) and Leslie Cockburn (mother).
Olivia made her Broadway debut In 2017, playing the role of Julia in 1984. In 2019, she directed her first film, the teen comedy Booksmart, for which she won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature.
Olivia campaigned with actors Justin Long and her then-current House castmate Kal Penn in support of the Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama In 2008.
Olivia has been married twice. The first was on June 7, 2003, at the age of 19, when she married Italian filmmaker and musician Tao Ruspoli, in Washington, Virginia, on a school bus with only a pair of witnesses.
On February 8, 2011, she and Ruspoli announced that they were separating after she filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court on March 3, 2011, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. The divorce was finalized on September 29, 2011.
Wilde began dating Jason Sudeikis, an American actor, and comedian in November 2011 and got engaged in January 2013. The relationship ended in November 2020, as Sudeikis told GQ magazine in a feature published the following July.
