Jonathan Mensah (born 1992) known professionally as Jae5, is an award winning British-Ghanaian record producer. He came to limelight for his work on J Hus album, common Sense. He has produced for top artists like French Montana and Future.

Jae5 was born in 1992 in East London. He is the second in a family of 5 boys.
Jae5 was influenced by his older brother who used to play hip hop and House music. He was also influenced by his environment after he moved to Ghana at the age of 10 where he was exposed to Fruity loops and DJ Software. Ghanaian music had shaped his upbringing as his mom was into hip life Ghanaian artists.
He began his production journey after taking production courses with a non-profit, APE Media. At that time, he was under his Uncle’s JOAT label.
He became known for his work on J Hus project “Common Sense”. He is also credited for other J Hus projects such as “The 15th Day” and “Big Conspiracy”.
He has produces for numerous top artists which include the likes of French Montana, Future, Shakka, Dave, NSG, Mark Ronson and of course the African giant, Burna Boy.
