At 49, she had Stage 3C ovarian cancer. Furthermore, Flynn had to undergo a grueling 12-hour debulking surgery to remove the tumors and parts of her bowel and uterus, followed by six months of chemotherapy.
Not to mention, there’s no cure for ovarian cancer, and with a 90 percent recurrence rate, women who survive initial treatment see the cancer return numerous times.
After undergoing chemo for a second time, Flynn only made it a few months before the cancer returned for the third time in 2019. She has been fighting ovarian cancer ever since.
