Hunter Moore is a convicted felon from Sacramento, California. Moore was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, a $2,000 fine, and $145.70 in restitution in November 2015.
Moore was sentenced for felony charges of aggravated identity theft and assisting and abetting unauthorised computer access.
Many of these crimes were committed to obtain naked pictures of people against their will for his website Is Anyone Up?
Moore was released in May 2017 after completing a rehabilitation programme to reduce his sentence.
Hunter Moore has kept a low profile since his release from prison in 2017. Hunter is barred from Facebook, but he is active on Twitter as @ iamhuntermoore, where he frequently posts gym selfies and pictures of his dog.
Substream Magazine revealed in 2017 that Hunter planned to make EDM tracks after his release from prison.
He also wrote the book Is Anyone Up? A Story Of Revenge Porn, which provided personal insight into Moore’s life and the creation and effects of the website on his life, catapulting him to fame and notoriety in 2018.
